Monster Island, The Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster was released at the same time that Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Monster Island, the island where a creature lives, is the setting for this story.


Asylum has the budget to feed a lot of kids. They use it wisely by focusing on just a few human characters while keeping their big stars in one place where all their sequences are recorded during lunch. This is the kaiju genre, so maybe The Asylum won't do too badly.
